Edem Divine Nyasorgbor
Veteran Broadcaster • Disc Jockey • TV Host
“A broadcaster's voice is a candle in the dark — it must never flicker for those who depend on its light to find the truth.”
For more than two decades, Edem Divine Nyasorgbor's voice travelled across the airwaves of the Volta Region, Ghana and Togo, carrying entertainment, music, and the conscience of a generation. He anchored the airwaves through entertainment, elections, transitions, triumphs, and tragedies — always calm, always clear, always fair.
His Legacy
A 22-year career on the airwaves — anchored, presented, hosted, and taught by one of the Volta Region's most respected voices.

The late Edem Divine Nyasorgbor was born on the 4th of April, 1979 at Denu in the Volta Region to Mr. Samuel Abbey Nyasorgbor, a businessman, and Madam Theodora Abla Gidiglo Nyasorgbor, a retired educationist, both of blessed memory. Edem was the ninth child of eleven siblings. He grew up in a very loving A.M.E. Zion Church and Living Sheep Society home where his parents inculcated in him certain distinct values that would anchor his life. His parents believed that the only legacy they could leave a child was God and education; they brought him up in the fear of the Lord aligned with education.
He started his basic education at Denu R.C. Primary School from 1983 to 1986 and continued at Amazing Love Schools from 1986 to 1994. By dint of hard work and natural intelligence he passed his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and gained admission into Mawuli Secondary School, Ho, where he pursued his secondary education from 1995 to 1997. Edem successfully completed his secondary education and gained admission into Kumasi Polytechnic, now Kumasi Technical University, from 1998 to 2001, where he obtained his HND in Marketing. His quest for higher education spurred him on to seek further education at E.P. University from 2011 to 2013, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Marketing (B.A. Marketing).
In the early days of his tertiary education, Edem had a brief engagement with Garden City Radio in Kumasi as a Marketing Officer for two months (October–November 1998). He was a lover of music, and his love for music and communication made him develop a strong interest in Disc Jockeying. He then began to spend his leisure time with a radio station on campus (Radio Link) where he gained a lot of experience in Disc Jockeying from November 1998 to July 2002. He rose to the rank of Studio Manager and presented the Reggae Suns Flash segment of the radio station while in school.
